ZED est l'histoire d'un artiste vieillissant, perdu dans le regret et la brume de la démence. Publié en partenariat avec Cyan Ventures, le nouveau bras de publication des créateurs des jeux légendaires Myst et Riven, ZED est la vision de Chuck Carter, membre de l'équipe derrière le Myst original. Coécrit par Joe Fielder (Bioshock Infinite, The Flame and the Flood) et David Chen (série Metal Gear Solid, Narcosis), le jeu présente également une performance captivante du vétéran des voix de jeux vidéo Stephen Russell (séries Thief et Fallout).
