Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth (スターソルジャー バニシングアース, Sutā Sorujā Banishingu Āsu) est un jeu vidéo de type shoot 'em up sorti en 1998, développé et publié par Hudson Soft pour la Nintendo 64. En l'an 2098, l'humanité a été gravement attaquée par une force militaire de Zeograd, une planète hostile dans une galaxie lointaine. Le commandant Parker Deehan de la Special Interception Airforce (SIA) a décidé de déployer et de piloter le chasseur F98 Star Soldier sur la ligne de front de la bataille contre Zeograd. Perdre la bataille signifiait l'extinction de l'humanité et l'anéantissement total de la Terre !

In the year 2098 mankind had been critically attacked by a military force from Zeograd, a hostile planet in a far off galaxy. Commander Parker Deehan of Special Interception Airforce (SIA) decided to deploy and pilot the F98 Star Soldier fighter craft into the front line of battle against Zeograd. Losing the battle meant the extinction of mankind and the total annihilation of Earth!
