Metal Gear: Ghost Babel

Metal Gear: Ghost Babel (japonais : メタルギア ゴーストバベル, Hepburn : Metaru Gia: Gōsuto Baberu), sorti dans les territoires occidentaux sous le titre de Metal Gear Solid, est un jeu d'action furtive en 2D produit par Konami, qui a été publié pour la Game Boy Color en 2000. Ghost Babel a été produit par Konami Computer Entertainment Japan après avoir été commandé par la branche européenne de Konami pour développer une adaptation portable de leur jeu PlayStation de 1998, Metal Gear Solid. Le jeu ne fait pas partie de la chronologie principale de la série Metal Gear, mais sert plutôt de suite alternative au Metal Gear original, se déroulant sept ans après ce dernier.

Early 21st century. An incident of unprecedented magnitude sends shockwaves trhough the highest levels of the U.S. Government: A prototype bipedal armored vehicle, Metal Gear, has been seized along with its nuclear payload by an armed group. In a radical response to ths crisis situation, the government calls in Solid Snake, the master saboteur who singlehandedly brought down the fortress state of Outer Heaven seven years ago.
